"Salvation, forgiveness, and cleansing of sin and eternal life, was not the primary reason Jesus came to the earth.It is a by-product of the destruction of the devil's work." On Line from the cross to pentecost devotional. I exalt you to read God's Words with a hunger and ask God to give you revelation, wisdom, understanding so you can see things through his eyes. There is almost an amazing article on line which has helped me and I believe it is God's revelation is called "From the Cross To Pentecost Devotional"

In response to the first review of this book: The quotes that you refer to are not to be taken out of the context of the book itself. You would have had a problem with Jesus saying to hate your mother and father; even the term - being born a second time was questioned by the young ruler because he did not hear with spiritual ears. To attack the author for using a phrase "Salvation is a small thing" while ignoring that to which it is being compared is totally unfair. He is comparing the step of salvation, the very first step in the Christian walk, to the unlimited splendor that is available to the one who pursues GOD and DOES what Jesus prayed for...brings Heaven on Earth...you know "the Lord's prayer". No, salvation is no small thing but the initial step is only the beginning of something MUCH greater than staying in the doorway. There is an entire KINGDOM filled with limitless possibilities. Let's not let our religious spirits get in the way! The book is very inspiring. Makes me want to "do the stuff"; not just talk about it!

This book has dramatically changed my approach to my day to day walk with the LORD. The life of miracles is a call to intimacy and to experience a life of miracles of comunicating God's love language of miracles to His people. This book is about demonstrating the complete work of the cross to the world. Romans 1:16 (NASB) For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. This is a must read. I have read all of Bill's books and am currently reading face to face with God. After you read this one you've got to read the Supernatural power of a transformed mind.

When Heaven Invades Earth was a life changing read for me. Bill Johnson stretched my understanding of the power of God and the Christian's role in activating that power here on earth. After reading the book, I was motivated to demonstate that power in hopes of bringing more people into the kingdom of God. I was not offended by Pastor Johnson's statement that salvation is a small thing. I understood that he meant that once saved we as Christians are then prepared to truly demonstrate God's power on earth. No one else can do that. When operating in the power of God, miracles will follow and that will speak to the world in a marvelous way. I look forward to more of Bill Johnson's books.

I loved this book. My copy is highlighted, dogeared, bookmarked and lovingly abused throughout. Bill's courage to say what needs to be said from so many vantage points in this book is exemplary. "Getting us to heaven is not near as great a challenge as it is to get heaven into us". Amen, Bill.

I don't know what to think after reading his book...he leads one to believe that our MAIN purpose is to be performing miracles on a day to day basis...the physical healing kind.. I was shocked when he states that "Salvation is such a small thing"... ARe you kidding me? Salvation is EVERYTHING. Salvation is why Jesus died for us..Was that a small thing that Jesus died? Personally, I think he will have some explaining to do....

This book within one read has radically changed my perspective of Jesus's ministry and ultimately along with the work of the Holy Spirit changed my life forever. Bill Johnson has been ministering for many years and is a fifth generation pastor. He articulates the point of bringing 'Heaven to Earth' through this book in a unique and insightful way, inspiring us to do the same. I was fortunate enough to hear him teach from this book and The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind (his second book, also a must buy) in Brazil, on a Global Awakening mission trip in 2005 and it was incredible! Everyone was taking notes and I mean EVERYONE, nearly word for word!!! A top book and a must have for study and as practical guide. The revelation that 'us, regular guys and girls' can be used by God in supernatural ways, to bring heaven to earth is priceless and will aid you in fulfilling the potential God has within you for your life.
