Love Never Fails (OLD)

In this heartfelt message, Kris Vallotton challenges us to rediscover a life of true love.  The apostle Paul said that one of the main attributes of agape love is that it "suffers long."  Long suffering seems to be almost anti-Christian to the Body of Christ because we have mistaken joy for pleasure.  We know we are called to joy, but this misunderstanding has resulted in the people of God living to avoid pain so they can try to obtain pleasure.  Joy and pleasure are  not synonymous!

The apostle James said that we should, "consider it all joy when we encounter various trials."  Trials are not supposed to be fun, but they are to be faced with joy.  We are called to destroy evil, therefore, we must be willing to weep with those who weep, as well as rejoice with those who rejoice.  The only way to defeat darkness is to joyfully and fearlessly enter the fray which is not always fun, but is always fulfilling.  The fear of suffering has left the multitudes locked away in prison.  It is time for the Body of Christ to enter the cells of those imprisoned and sing the songs of deliverance.  As we do, creation will quake in conviction and prisoners will go free!
