Product Description

Here is a fresh look at the age-old role of parenting. Loving Our Kids on Purpose brings the principles of the Kingdom of God and revival into our strategy as parents. Now more than ever, the need for understanding our role as parents must crystallize around how to establish the Kingdom of God in our homes. Teaching our children to manage increasing levels of freedom is one of our greatest challenges. Learning to replace the tools of intimidation and control is a priority if we are to train our children in love. In this workbook you will learn how to accomplish these priorities. With a blend of teaching, story telling and humor, Danny will let you see into his family as well as the numerous experiences he's had helping other families. He will lead you into an understanding of parenting principles and a practical application of skills and techniques.

This Workbook covers:

How to change our goal from demanding obedience and conformity to training our children in self-control and protecting a loving connection to us.

Phrases and key words that will help parents manage themselves and allow their children to work on their lives and problems.

Processes that reduce fear and anxiety and help parents create a safe place for their children to build confidence and personal responsibility in their decisions.

How to respond to our children's failures that encourage them to grow and learn.

How to set our kids up to learn to think and problem solve the issues and circumstances in their lives.

Testimonies of parents applying what they've learned. Both heartwarming and humorous stories demonstrate the skills and understand of Loving on Purpose.

Join the reformation that is transforming a generation! The family is the vehicle for generational revival. Without a different way of training up our children we will not have another result. There is no fear in love, because love casts out all the fear of punishment. Peace!

from Cathy Newquist

You're kidding? There are no reviews for this amazing book? It has changed the life of two of my friends (and their kids, too!) as well as my interactions with children at my work and church. I recently had a 2-year old in full meltdown in my Sunday School Class, gave him a choice of "calm chair" or "fun with us", his choice was (screaming)"I want Mom", told him that wasn't a choice and repeated the options - you choose or I choose, he screamed "I want Mom", I said "I choose 'calm chair'", he continued to scream "I want Mom" until the nano-second before his bottom was to touch the chair seat but then he changed his tune to "fun with you"(because he's a genius), I said "good choice!", he stopped screaming, walked over to what we were doing, froze in place for 20 minutes (yes, a 2-year old stood still for 20 minutes!). It was so classic I phoned my "Green Book" friends to relate the story. Amazing.
