The mind is either being renewed, or it is at war with God.  The Lord is giving us a revelation to lead us into encounter with God, to establish a heart for a world we cannot see.
Our hunger guides our perception.  You are dead to sin and so have the right to see from heavenly perspectives because heaven is opened over you.  You will always broker the nature of the world you are most aware of. 
Every sovereign act of God is revelation of His nature and ways.  Sovereign acts of God are to teach us what should then become intentional acts by the body of Christ.
